Atstovavimas COST MP0701 veiklai COST MP0701 Veikloje dalyvauja 55 mokslo ir pramonės institucijos iš 31 COST valstybės narės bei 2 bendradarbiaujančių valstybių institucijos. Darbai atliekami keturiose darbo grupėse. Veikla padės sujungti Europos mokslinį potencialą ir mažas bei vidutines įmones naujų polimerinių nanokompozitų sintezei ir jų pritaikymui pramoninei gamybai bei praktiniam panaudojimui. Lietuvos energetikos instituto Medžiagų tyrimų ir bandymų laboratorijos mokslininkai į COST MP0701 veiklą Naujų funkcinių ir struktūrinių savybių kompozitai iš nanostruktūros medžiagų / Composites with novel fuctional and structural properties by nanoscale materials (nano composite materials NCM) įsijungė 2008-08-08 (Memorandumo data) ir dalyvauja pirmosios darbo grupės WG1 veikloje Nanodalelės/skiriamasis paviršius (matricos ir nanodalelių parinkimas, paviršiaus funkcionalumo keitimas/cheminis nanodalelių apdorojimas). Darbai vykdomi bendradarbiaujant su Veiklos partneriais Lietuvoje, t.y. Kauno technologijos universiteto Cheminės technologijos fakulteto Silikatų technologijos katedros mokslininkais. 2012 metų gegužės 14-16 dienomis kartu su kolegomis iš KTU Cheminės technologijos fakulteto dalyvavau COST veiklos Naujų funkcinių ir struktūrinių savybių kompozitai iš nanostruktūros medžiagų / Composites with novel fuctional and structural properties by nanoscale materials (nano composite materials NCM) baigiamojoje mokslinėje konferencijoje ir valdymo komiteto posėdyje. Konferencija ir posėdis vyko Suomijoje, Espoo (VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland). Veiklos koordinatorius dr. Erich Kny pradėjo konferenciją, kurioje COST veikloje MP0701 dalyvaujantys mokslininkai iš įvairių šalių perskaitė 13 plenarinių pranešimų. Jaunieji mokslininkai ir doktorantai, kurių trumpalaikes mokslines stažuotes (STSM) finansavo COST komitetas, trumpai supažindino su stažuotės metu atliktais moksliniais tyrimais ir stendinių pranešimų sesijoje pristatė pagrindinius rezultatus. KTU Cheminės technologijos fakulteto doktorantas A. Eisinas stažuotės ir tyrimų rezultatus pateikė pranešime Surface microstructure and specific surface area of a new filler for epoxy polymer-layered silicate nanocomposite (autoriai A. Eisinas, K. Baltakys, A. Baltušnikas, I. Lukošiūtė). Antrąją renginio dieną įvyko baigiamasis valdymo komiteto posėdis ir apskritojo stalo diskusija, kurioje visų šalių atstovai COST MP0701 veiklos valdymo komitete pristatė pasiektus rezultatus ir įvertino Veiklos naudą šalies mokslininkams. Dalyvavimas COST MP0701 veikloje Lietuvos energetikos instituto mokslininkams padėjo įsijungti į 7BP projektą Nanotechnologijomis sustiprinta aplinkai palanki ekstrūdinė sluoksniuota
armuota plaušu putų cemento statybinė medžiaga/ Nanotechnology enhanced extruded fibre reinforced foam cement based environmentally friendly sandwich material for building applications FIBCEM (2011-2014). Selected examples of professional impact Cost action helped to get in to other areas for research. Establishing long-term scientific collaboration with the COST partners. Dissemination of magnetic technology among COST partners. Information gained from other areas and other researchers. Challenge to organize a workshop was very positive, gave great encouragement. Interest raised for other areas, became aware of other COST activities. Opportunity for Fresh air-fresh ideas from outside the office.
